Tenacity Audacity

On the surface, which is this platform, it seems quiet and still. As if the waters have settled or worse yet, the streambeds are dry. It feels that way below the surface as well, sometimes.

The creative apocalypse has arrived and all personal words and thoughts have evaporated. Have we given up and decided that yes, indeed, a language model can feel more than us? Who better to speak to and express the human expression than a computer?

Certainly not a human.

Scoff.

They sold us on the freedom of time, but come on, if you’ve ever read a book, you’d know that was a lie packaged in a sales pitch. Animal Farm, 1984, Brave New World, and those are just the obvious in your face virtually cliche and overly referenced ones. (I mean did anyone really read any of those books? I mean really? )

[I did.]

I removed the AI from my Google Search and I feel so much better now, because I can find you again. I can see the blogs, and the research, and no longer have to settle for the summary.

The revolution is you, the writer, the artist, the creative. You, you, you, just by being you in all your mess and experience. You bored, you joyful, you living-breathing-eating-drinking-fucking-up-and-down-you-sweet-you-awful-you-in-pain-you-in-love-you-in-loss-you–lonely, wanting, needing, giving, singing, dancing, swinging and being merry like christmas (whose line did I just honor? Do you know? You should, you must)-you–crazy, happy, sad, angry, real, whole, broken, fixed, apart, together, in grief in wonder, in all that makes you unique and only you.

Don’t give up. Keep writing. Keep creating. Keep living. Keep being. Don’t give your mind away.

I say this to me.

I say this to you.
